From amiableamy

This is something from an old-time friend back in Cagayan de Oro City, Ahmee! I'm glad she shared this with me regardless of my being amateur to the blogging territory. I'll get by somehow with her rallying around.

Ysabel's Passion

This is one of my daughter Ysabel's captures, a display of her passion for footwear. This was taken at ER's Fashion Galore, one of Mati's department stores. At an early age of 6 she already demonstrates a weakness in shoes, sandals, and even slippers. Actually, she has now a number of her own collections. Whenever I go on a shopping extravaganza (LOL!), whether window or door (LOL! again...) and she tags along, she always runs her way through grown up bits and pieces, especially footwear. And who says she likes only the kid's stuff? How come I hit upon this picture in her gadget's custody?

Third Wedding Anniversary

"For richer and for poorer, in sickness and in health, for better or for worse (whatever comes first hehehehe...) till death do us part.." These are the words sworne by me and my husband in our religious wedding three years ago. Jun and I will be celebrating our third wedding anniversary on April 25, 2008. How we are going to spend the day depends on his arrangements. He hasn't told me of it yet but like every wife is, I am keyed up to know.

Dad & Child

I was looking through my friend Amy’s posts when I came across this image. I felt the drive to grab it in view of the fact that it has extremely somehow hit a spot in my time. I am 3 years married to a man extremely dedicated to his presently flourishing career. Too busy performing his duty to the people he serves he every so often comes home after the kids have already gone asleep. And at times leaves for work even sooner than they are up. I find it an immense joy whenever he gets to have a minute away at the park with the kids or fool around at some point in a work-free weekend, or even squander just a tiny ride from home to town and immediately back home without having to step out of the car particularly when he yet have a schedule to grace with his attendance. I am deeply touched by this image as much as I am touched with the sight of my husband paying out a time with his kids. I wish all fathers will take time to provide attention to their children amidst their demanding schedules because even a single second supposedly spent with them when lost will never be found again. And a single second can become like an hour if it is well spent.

My First Born's First Graduation Day!

March 27, 2009 was a big day for my first born, YSABEL PAUL BESAS GERONIMO. After three years of getting up early in the morning, and having to sacrifice some playtime to study her lessons, to have assignments done and do all the groundworks for periodical examinations, she has finally come to the day where all her sacrifices are rewarded. She was the 2008-2009 class salutatorian. She was best in Declamation, as well as in the subjects English, Mathematics and Filipino. Together with the class valedictorian she was awarded a medal for Excellence by Congresswoman Thelma Z. Almario. Ysabel who was born on September 19, 2002 first entered school at the age of 3 under the Nursery program of Sunbeam Christian School of Mati, Inc. She is now 6 years old and has the fortitude to follow her dream of becoming a nurse in the future.
